Eric is a character in Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure and Rhythm Thief & the Paris Caper. He is a constable who works under Inspector Vergier. Although he tries to act tough as his job requires him to be, he is actually quite cowardly. Some of the things he is scared of are ghosts and bulldogs.
Plot[]

Chapter 1: The Darkness of Les Invalides[]
Raphael meets Eric on the Champs-Élysées in Chapter 1. He tries to help Sarah who had lost her bulldog, Sapphire. After hearing the type of breed her dog was, he got scared and tries suggesting Sarah to ask another constable to assist her. When Fondue barks in an attempt to get Eric to leave his post, he gets spooked, but not spooked enough to leave.
After finding Sapphire, recording the bark, and replaying the recording, Eric becomes frightened and leaves his post in a hurry. Thus, Raphael could go home safely.
Chapter 4: The Paris Opéra[]
Eric reappears inside the Opéra in Chapter 4, where he is posted in the seating area. He comments to himself on how there may be ghosts in the Opéra and shivers at the thought. Raphael overhears this comment and goes to find a recording of a ghost's wails.
After finding a ghost, recording it, and replaying it, Eric yet again becomes frightened and leaves his post. Next, Raphael could escape from the Opéra and to the roof.
